December update

The fishing has been really tough on the last two children’s fishout events with relatively few fish caught and wet weather. That said the kids were really persistent , there were  lots of  true fishers amongst them.

The Trust changed its Trust deed a few years ago to enable fishing opportunities to the very elderly and to disabled adults. Job Jobe , one of our Trustees , took a small group of elderly residents (three on wheelchairs)  from Somerset Village to the ponds 0n Tuesday the 6th of December. They did quite well hooking five fish most of which were released.

The ponds are open for children to fish from the 20th of December and will be restocked prior to opening. Have a good Christmas.
